CHAPTER XXVI

Are You Sure

You're Not Black?

The morning was again announced by the melodic calls of the rooster. Carol and Adam washed, got dressed. Adam headed to his own room to shave. He was getting shaggier and really needed a haircut. That was just one problem this morning. After combing it didn't look that bad … did it?

Breakfast was bacon, eggs and hash browns. Adam had two cups of coffee. Not that he needed two, but they helped him get ready for the day.

Adam went outside on the veranda to put his boots on. Eve came out bringing a sack lunch and a thermos of lemonade. Thanking her with a kiss he was off to the shed and the alfalfa field. He did as Dr. Jon suggested. It worked out better than Adam had imagined. He was amazed at the size of the field. Either that or he was cutting too slowly. He stopped half way through and had lunch standing up. His sitting bones were sore. He wasn't used to that much sitting. It was back in the saddle after lunch. The day drug on until the job was done. The sun was almost down when he pulled into the shed. He crawled off the tractor and headed for the house.

Leaving his boots on the veranda, he went upstairs to the community shower. He left his clothes outside the shower room and went inside. He found he was far from alone. All the girls were there. The girls were close to finishing and they left with a kiss to his lips and a shake of his handle. He thought that after that he was alone, but no. There was Denise in all her bronze loveliness, walking toward him with that slow wiggle. As she got closer she cupped her ample breasts. Taking his head in her hands she put his head between her breasts and moved it between them slowly. Then backing off took the soap and washed him all over. She backed him under a shower head. While he was covered with the spray, he felt someone kiss him where he hadn't been kissed before. Shaking the water from his eyes, he saw Denise in a provocative pose with a towel.

“Until tonight,” she said and was gone.

That was something else Adam thought. I wonder where she learned that. Or did that come naturally? It felt strange, but good. Will that happen again, he wondered. He hoped so. What was the pay back? Oh, yes. He'd never done that before either. There was a first time for everything.

Dinner was being served as he got down stairs. He told them about finishing the alfalfa field and leaving the cutting to dry out before putting the crop in the barn. Dr. Jon told about giving the cow some of his potion. Appetites quickly failed.

After dinner Adam again retired to the veranda. Eve joined him. She said she had a talk with Dr. Jon. Next time he wouldn't go into as much detail about the cow.
